Dell Streak 7 gets UK release date

Dells 7" Android tablet previously only available in the US, will be released in the UK priced £299 from Dells online store at the end of April. With a 1.2 Ghz Tegra Processor and running Android 2.2, this budget tab is perfect for those willing to compromise price with screen resolution. For me however it's a bit late off the boat and with no official word on updates to gingerbread or honeycomb I'll be waiting for the Samsung tabs to come out later in the year.

Google +1 Social fluff or Marketers dream?

Another day, another google innovative feature although this +1 doesn't seem so innovative, basically you now have the choice of recommending your google search results to your friends/ followers with a +1 button which according to the official google blog is the digital shorthand for “this is pretty cool.”

Good news for those of us who love free storage; This morning Amazon have launched a free service for all Amazon account holders 5GB of cloud storage for free, this is upgradable to 20GB if you buy one MP3 album! You can then use the storage for any digital files that you like and download them using a desktop client (only one at a time). So this si straight download and storage so far, no synching across desktops like dropbox, however you can stream mp3s direct from your cloud to your android phone using the updated amazon mp3 app which is of course only available from the newly launched and US only Amazon App store. No news as of yet when European customers will be able to get there hands on any of the app stores content, including Angry Birds Rio.

Rather disappointing review of the HTC desire S

Coud HTC's star be fading? It seems so with this so-so review of their next gen (or is it) handset, it's a shame as i have loved HTC phones since using their orange Branded smart phones since BITD and then choosing the hero as my first Android, this was in consideration for my next handset ( I like to mix up manufacturers if i can each upgrade) but I may well be sticking with samsung. Still working out how i can nab a tab 8.9 later in the year!
