Skype sold to Microsoft for $8.5bil - what does it mean for you
OK so big Tech news this week was Microsoft's purchase of Skype for a whopping three times what Silver Lake paid Ebay in 2009 for the company.
But how will this effect you the ordinary skype user? Well Steve Balmer and Tony Bates (former Skype CEO) have promised to continue to support skype on non-microsoft platforms at the same time porting the product over to unsupported microsoft products (XBox for example)
So for the time being it would seem that Skype will be staying around on Android mobiles etc, but may not have quite the push behind it as it used too...

Google Music Announced
So Google have finally shown us their plans for their music cloud syncing singing and dancing app for desktop, mobile, tablet and pretty much anything else with an OS.
So you will be able to upload 20000 songs to the cloud and then access them from anywhere with the app installed. the tablet app looks very nice indeed;
Google scan the tracks on the cloud to allow you to create Genius type playlists called instant mixes but also say that they will remove tracks that they believe are pirated or that the rights owner has issue with...
Only available in the US at the moment, but it surely must be coming to Europe and other continents soon... Please
